BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS, look for the event in the future : In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, celebrated by many as the patron saint of animals and ecology, humans are welcome to bring their creatures great and small (on a leash or in a carrier) to gather in joyful celebration and blessing. Photos of animal friends who live in the wild, are deceased, or cannot attend for other reasons are also welcome, as well as beloved “stuffie” animals and humans without creature companions. After the service, Rev. Beth will take blessings “on the road” to local farms and homes (please email the church to request a visit).
